Volunteers make it happen and we appreciate each and every one of you that take the time to make a difference at Shadow Ridge. We have many opportunities available for everyone to participate.

The middle school years can present stresses and challenges that students have not previously experienced. National studies have shown that students whose parents play an active role in their child’s education are far more successful. Knowing that fact, the SRMS PTA is committed to keeping you involved and informed. Whether you have PTA experience at the elementary level, are returning as an active volunteer, or have been waiting for the right time to become involved, now is your chance! Join PTA, sign up to volunteer and join us as we work together to be a voice for all children. Even if you can only help for one hour, it makes a difference.

Background Check Application Now Online

The LISD Volunteer Application is now online. ALL volunteers have to reapply to be approved volunteers this year.

Volunteer Application Instructions:

1. Go to the District web page at www.lisd.net.
2. Go to the District Volunteer Application by clicking "Employment" and then "Volunteer/Background Check."
3. On the Volunteer/Background Check Application web page, scroll to the bottom and click "Apply Now." Begin the volunteer application.
4. Click "Register Here" for new volunteer application access. Enter "UserId" and "Password" both of which are determined by the volunteer applicant.
5. "Legal First Name" and "Legal Last Name" should be entered as they appear on your driver's license. The email address entered should be a current address.
6. Please review and indicate agreement to approve the volunteer background check. Complete the volunteer application. Please ensure that your information conforms to the data requested to avoid errors. Please note you will need to know the 4 digit extension to your zip code so have it handy.
7. Any data errors will stop the volunteer application until the applicant completes the information as necessary for the application. After all information is entered, click "Save Application."
8. Once the application has been saved, you have completed the process and may exit out of the application.
